Introduction
Welcome to Fullerton Temple, a branch of Self-Realization Fellowship, an international nonprofit religious organization, founded in 1920 by Paramahansa Yogananda. Our worldwide headquarters is located in Los Angeles, atop Mt. Washington. Fullerton Temple was dedicated in June of 1967 by our president Sri Daya Mata. The original temple in Long Beach, California, was established in 1947 by Paramahansa Yogananda. As the congregation of the Long Beach Temple grew, the need for a larger temple became apparent. This need was eventually fulfilled by the acquisition and establishment of Fullerton Temple. Fullerton Temple is administered by monastics from the Mother Center in Los Angeles. The minister-in-charge and assistant ministers conduct regularly scheduled public lectures, meditations and other services.

Bookroom
The Bookroom is located under the blue awning behind the temple on E.Whiting Avenue. Offering inspiring books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, pictures, and gifts related to the SRF spiritual path, the Bookroom provides rich resources for devotees. Reading Paramahansa Yogananda’s timeless words deepens one’s connection to his teachings — be sure to stop by after Sunday and Thursday services and find something inspiring to take home with you.
The Bookroom is open during the following hours and after special events.
Sunday: Noon – 12:45 pm
Opportunities for Volunteer Service
Fullerton Temple is maintained by the volunteer services of the lay members who serve on a variety of Temple Committees that cover all the areas of the Temple activities, services, and care of the temple. For more information about the Temple Committees see the Temple Committees page, and for more volunteer information see the Volunteer Opportunities page. There is also a volunteer application form that can be filled out and submitted online.
Appointments with the SRF Ministers
Appointments are available with the SRF Ministers for marriage and christening ceremonies, as well as for individual counseling on the practice of the Self-Realization teachings and meditation techniques. For information on how to make an appointment and contact Fullerton Temple, see the Contact Us page.
Free Literature Table

Fullerton Temple Volunteer applications are available as well on the Free Literature Table.
After the Sunday and Thursday Lecture Service, a temple greeter or usher wearing a name badge will be available to answer any questions. There is also a Welcome Table of information available in the courtyard on Sundays, weather permitting.
